Note: I posted this a few years ago on 6/8/2012. Now @OccupyWallSt  I get “You are blocked from following @OccupyWallSt and viewing @OccupyWallSt’s Tweets.” Nowadays @OccupyWallStNYC and I Follow each other, though I prefer the word #Connect.

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.” ~ John F. Kennedy (35th US President (1961-63), 1917-1963)

In the context of a world overview, analyzing the Occupy Wall Street Movement as a dynamic matrix with many spin offs from it gives us a better understanding of where it is at today, especially with the advent of global communications via Internet Power.

#OWS (Twitter hashtag) is not a typical social movement. It has no central leadership, no rigid command structure, no complex political organization and no regular rank-and-file members. It has a positive anarchist influence, which frees it from the confines of ordinary movement groups.

#OWS is more of a complex interconnected matrix than a uniform movement. It has many Occupy sites at different stages with different settings. Some are doing well and holding their ground, some are like sleeper cells awaiting reawakening, while others have faded from the scene and gone back into the woodwork or out into the streets.

Here in Sacramento, Occupy Sacto is pretty much inactive. It no longer has General Assemblies at Cesar Chavez Plaza Park in Downtown Sacramento as it use to before. Now we see more clearly than before that holding ground in long-term urban Occupy encampments is not sustainable. Fragile occupy sites are subject to eviction. It is still a great tactic for getting media attention and early exposure, like a long-term ‘sit-in’ tactic popular in the 60s. #OWS in New York cannot do the local community work that is our responsibility on the local level far from Wall Street.

We now need to be about creating small Liberated Zones, even if only a local community office and be open to all applicable tactics, including local electoral politics.

#OWS was able to tap into the fear, anger and frustration that was already present in the psyche of people. People naturally responded to its rebellion, especially youth concerned about their chances of success with a rocky depressed economy because of high unemployment, student debts and a lack of viable social services. Many are in a Great Depression, despite twisted government statistics.

The sudden emergence of #OWS on the world scene was a wakeup call for all of us. Following the awesome Arab Spring that galvanized millions around the world last year, the emergence of #OWS woke up many sleepy scattered progressives out of their coma. It helped us to better focus on one core issue: the fundamental inequality between the needy ‘have-nots’ of the 99% vs. the greedy 1% of ‘haves’ symbolized by Wall Street bankers: class warfare!

#OWS continues to be a threat to the U.S. rogue regime now ‘in power and secure’ known as the US Government. It is among the people’s vanguard elements in what is becoming more and more of a Global People’s War against Global Fascism.

From its website ~ http://occupywallst.org/
“Occupy Wall Street is a leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors, genders and political persuasions. The one thing we all have in common is that We Are The 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%. We are using the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic to achieve our ends and encourage the use of nonviolence to maximize the safety of all participants. This #ows movement empowers real people to create real change from the bottom up…. The only solution is world revolution.”

Our basic survival needs are: food, clothing, shelter, health care and quality education. Together, our basic needs create a common denominator upon which we can come together, mobilize and unite as one people. We are ultimately one family of humanity upon one planet in peril.

The spirit of #OWS survives and is not dead, as much as the evil Amerikan Empire wishes it would all just go away. In fact, it is expanding in different ways, shape shifting and influencing more people than ever. It has inspired many of us to stay aware, get involved in our own local community and network with other existing community organizations and individuals online and offline. For many people it was the first time they ever got involved in political activism, especially young people. Now we have a new bold generation of activists, organizers and networkers!

There is no one path, one way, one movement. There are many pathways up the mountaintop. The ideal mode of progression is to keep surging forward and upward. Never give up. Learn from past mistakes. Unite with natural allies. Be polite to those who disagree, yet do not compromise basic humane principles to be popular. Do not take everything personal. Admit when you are dead wrong. Remember the power of harmony and the strength in solidarity.

Life is an interconnected matrix of connected realities that together compose one cosmic connected reality. Power is the capacity to correctly define connected reality and then transform it in a projected manner. We the people seek the power to determine our own destiny. Power is safest in the hands of the people

Let us struggle onward armed with the courage of conscience and achieve global victory. We need to continue the personal work on our own Inner Liberation as we fight in the direction of Global Liberation for all oppressed people. Faint weak hearts never win decisive battles. Victory is assured provided that we never ever give up! Resist Evil Powers!
